Vancouver Symphony’s 2017 New Music Festival

The Vancouver Symphony launched its most ambitious New Music Festival ever Tuesday night – six performances from January 24 - 29 including a ground-breaking partnership with Early Music Vancouver dubbed New Music for Old Instruments and performances by Hard Rubber Orchestra, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, Standing Wave Ensemble, Glenn Buhr & The Button Factory Band, as well as the Langley Fine Arts School Youth Choir, and UBC University Singers & Choral Union.

BC Registered Music Teachers Association Receives CMC BC Award of Excellence

The Canadian Music Centre in British Columbia (CMC BC) is pleased to present a Certificate of Excellence to the BC Registered Music Teachers' Association (BCRMTA) for its extraordinary contribution to Canadian music, both through its devotion to fostering the teaching of Canadian repertoire as part of a well-rounded curriculum, and through the BCRMTA's competitions and awards for the performance of Canadian music.
