The JUNOs Classical Showcase began eleven years ago as a creation of the Canadian Music Centre, but this is the first year the showcase was broadcast on national TV. The CMC also hosted a reception after the showcase for the performers and audience.

Jocelyn Morlock won Classical Composition of the Year for her composition “My Name is Amanda Todd” and Jan Lisiecki won Classical Album of the Year for Large Ensemble for his recording of Chopin with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester.
