About the Position

Based in our Vancouver Creative Hub, CMC BC’s Administrator is a full-time position.  Reporting to the BC Director, the Administrator is responsible for overseeing the office; coordinating rentals and scheduling rental staffing; serving as reception, including receiving payments and donations; handling bank deposits; overseeing box office and providing support for concerts; maintaining filing systems (virtual and real); managing the support systems; and undertaking other support duties as assigned.

About the Candidate

We are looking for someone who is friendly and likes people; someone who is passionate about contemporary music; who cares about details but wants to be part of a bigger picture. Are you self-motivated? A team player? Do you want to make a contribution to Canadian culture?

The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong written and verbal communication skills; good computer skills including Microsoft Office, Pages, Numbers, and Mailchimp. Working with a Customer Relations Management software (PatronManager/Salesforce) and WordPress would be an asset, as is experience working in a Mac environment. Event management experience is important and the Administrator will be required to work occasional events and activities outside normal office hours.

  • Experience working in the arts or for a not-for profit organization is an asset
  • Musical knowledge and/or knowledge of Canadian composers and repertoire is an asset

Salary: $35,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
