Like most arts organizations, we have continued to evolve post-pandemic, exploring how we can best serve the vibrant new music community of this province. I shared with you earlier this year our new Vision for CMC BC, and today, I’m pleased to announce some internal changes to help us achieve those goals and better align our team with the needs of the community.
Jordan Nobles is now the official Digital Content Producer for CMC BC. In this role, he will focus on producing Centrepulse, our bi-weekly newsletter, which he has greatly enhanced with new features. In addition, Jordan will create 75 – 100 new score videos and lead a free composition workshop for emerging composers each year. This realignment will allow Jordan to focus on the creative work at which he excels, and builds on the legacy of innovation and creativity he has already established at CMC BC.
In line with this shift, Heather Molloy has been promoted to Manager, Office and Library Services, taking over responsibility for overseeing library functions and our highly-valued music print and bind service. In this capacity, Heather will be supported by two terrific Library Assistants, Athena Loredo, and Ramsay Sadaka, both highly regarded composers in their own right.
In addition, our hours are changing. We will be open 9am – 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, but we ask you to make an appointment in advance so that we can make sure we’re available by emailing bcregion at cmccanada dot org. It is our hope this realignment will enhance our ability to support each of you in the creative work that you do for this brilliantly innovative community.
