CMC BC Composition Workshop Sponsorship Program

CMC BC offers $1,000 sponsorships to recognized new music organizations and ensembles holding composition workshops in which at least one half of the participants are BC residents of any age at any level of accomplishment. Payment will be provided following the successful conclusion of the workshop.

CMC BC also offers best efforts to list all sponsored composition workshops in our Centrepulse bi-weekly newsletter, on the Concerts and Events page of our website at bc.cmccanada.org, and on our social media accounts. In addition, we offer the opportunity to submit a print-ready article about the concert along with at least one suitable image for publication on our website.

In return we ask that “Sponsored by the Canadian Music Centre BC” is printed on the program page of printed programs and on any printed promotional materials along with the CMC BC logo, and to include this wording on any digital promotional materials, including social media posts or webpages.

We also ask that you provide us with photographs of the event, a pdf of the printed program, and the number of people that were involved and/or attended, after the final reading or performance of works.

The application is a simple one-page form that will be reviewed by staff as they are received on a first-come, first served basis. We apply an equity lens to all applications

For purposes of these grants, the Canadian Music Centre BC acts solely in the capacity of a sponsor and is not responsible for producing or promoting any sponsored events or performances.
