CMC BC is pleased to present the world premiere of 8 new 5-Minute String Quartets performed by Borealis String Quartet in the architecturally stunning Rennie Museum galleries displaying the artwork that inspired the new works — Monday, June 17, 7pm, in the completely restored, historic Wing Sang Building in Vancouver’s Chinatown.
Tickets $20 / $10 Students, including rooftop reception immediately following the performance.
One composer from the seminar will be selected to have a music video made of their work. Here is the music video made for Angela So’s Ice Drifter from the 2018 Jean Coulthard String Quartet Readings.
Thomas Beckman was the first to have a music video made for his quartet created during the 2019 Jean Coulthard String Quartet Readings, called Tango, which has since been expanded into a full suite for symphony orchestra.
